Description: Lunia Czechowska was a Polish model and one of the most important models for Amedeo Modigliani during his creative period in Montmartre, Paris. According to Modigliani's agent, Jonas Netter, this artwork was sold to buyer Jonas Netter for 150 francs. Later, the painting was held in the permanent collection of the Paris Museum of Modern Art. However, in May 2010, the Paris Museum of Modern Art was subject to a theft, resulting in the loss of five artworks, including Modigliani's "Portrait of Lunia Czechowska with a Fan." The museum later stated that the value of the painting was estimated at one hundred million euros, emphasizing that the loss of this artwork was a significant loss to humanity's artistic heritage.
